The Elegante series has consistently been one of Pearl's best selling instruments. The reasons: handmade workmanship, precise intonation, and a brilliant and projecting sound. This series has been in the Pearl line for over a decade and has provided countless flautists with unrivaled confidence.
The flute headjoint accounts for over 50% of a flute's acoustical value. Until now, the choice was to buy a professional quality flute for thousands of dollars or to buy a student flute and get student quality output. Sonaré offers a better choice!
Our Sonaré C flute retains some of the design features from our Signature flute that are critical for acoustical quality. Sonaré C flutes feature bodies made using patented Zinki technology (U.S. patent #7,420,109) and handmade Powell Signature® headjoints. Both the body and headjoint are made at our Massachusetts workshop. Beginning in 2014, you can upgrade the headjoint on select models (501, 505, 601, 705) to include an Aurumite 9k lip plate!
